#48: A Blast from the Past

This thrifted couch looks like it’s straight off the set of an ‘80s sitcom! The proud new owner of this couch found it at their local Habitat for Humanity. They still had a few months until they moved into their new home, but they knew they had to buy this couch before it was scooped up by someone else. 

The shopper who bought this couch shared that the couch was made by a brand called Dyrlund. Surprisingly, the couch is from the 1960s, not the ‘80s! The print looks much more recent than the ‘60s, but it just goes to show how unexpected thrifting can be. You never know what retro finds you are going to welcome into your home when you step into a thrift store.
