Thrifting and antiquing have moved to online spaces, thanks to the invention of websites like eBay. While some people don’t like that you can’t see an item in person before you buy it, there’s no denying that online thrifting has opened up a whole new world of possibilities. This online shopper purchased this item out of pure curiosity. They weren’t disappointed. 

This item appears to be a turtle, but it’s much more than that. The shell opens up to reveal space for a secret keepsake! Our storyteller spotted this turtle on an online estate auction and simply had to have it. They weren’t sure what they were buying, but the mystery was part of the appeal.
