50. I Was In the Neighborhood

Looking at you, creepy neighbor. I get the sense this is more of a newer view of people; once upon a time, we didn’t quite have the communication to be able to make plans way ahead of time via phone calls or whatever. Maybe for bigger things, like a dinner, there would be a plan ahead of time.

Without the TV, there wasn’t much else to do after work other than hang out and socialize. Or maybe read a book if you were introverted. We’re not going back to those times, I’ll tell you that. It’s too comfortable to just sit on our devices. I ain’t pointing fingers; I’m just as guilty.
