Well. This sucks. Some of us really don’t like vodka, and some of us don’t drink at all when we can help it. Consuming alcohol of various kinds is an ancient social and religious tradition that goes back for as long as human civilization has existed.

It is deeply embedded in almost every culture in one form or another, though what kind of drink it is depends on the country and region. Some people believe part of the reliance has to do with a lack of clean drinking water during the Middle Ages; this is, in fact, a myth. We just like to drink.
