Really, we should bring haggling back. It’s a lost art form! Then again, those execs sitting at the top of the corporate ladder probably wouldn’t be happy if all those Sales Associates they brought in off the street were making the decisions of how much to sell their goods for.

That’s what the sales are for, probably, as a sort of intermediary capitalist solution when the buyers don’t think the stated price is worth their hard-earned cash. Why argue with the merchant now when you can just wait half a year until the company wants to clear it out?
