#50: Smoking in Public 

There was once a time when smoking in public was the norm. Almost every adult smoked, so it wasn’t a big deal. There was always a plume of smoke in restaurants, train stations, and even airplanes at one point in time. Nowadays, smoking in public is less common. There might even be a day when it’s completely out of the question. 

The norm of smoking in public is already fading in most areas. Lighting up is even prohibited in a lot of public spaces. We hardly ever see smoke-friendly restaurants and hotels these days. However, e-cigarettes are still pretty popular. They’re considered normal now, but they might fade away like their paper predecessors in a few decades.
