Toothache Medicine
The ancient Egyptians believed that toothaches were caused by tiny worms that lived inside the teeth. To treat this condition, they would take a freshly killed dead mouse and apply it directly to the affected tooth. As the mouse decomposed, its body would release a compound called bromelain, which can help to reduce inflammation and ease pain.

The use of mice for medicinal purposes dates back thousands of years and was a common practice in many cultures, including ancient Greece and Rome. And while ancient medical knowledge is impressive, I would rather pull out all of my teeth than have a dead mouth inside my mouth! Wouldn’t you?
