Curing Baldness
Well, it seems like the ancient Greeks were willing to try just about anything to cure baldness! And while we might cringe at the idea of using a mixture of cumin, pigeon droppings, horseradish, and nettles on our scalp, it’s worth noting that the pursuit of a full head of hair has been a longstanding human obsession.

In ancient Greece, baldness was seen as a sign of aging and loss of virility, so it’s not surprising that people were eager to find a cure. Unfortunately, the mixture created by Hippocrates was not effective and likely caused more harm than good. Pigeon droppings, in particular, are known to carry a variety of bacteria and can cause serious infections.
