In Hollywood, there are so many different films and television shows that have been adapted from or based on certain historical events. And whilst they aren’t always so accurate, they shed light on certain things that have happened throughout history. Sometimes, they even hold a little bit of truth to them…

The Year of Living Dangerously, released in 1982, was a film based in Jakarta in 1965 following a military coup. At the time, the film was considered to be rather representative of what happens in government agencies and whatnot, and to this day, people tend to still agree with that sentiment.
