#30: Old-School Cars
This person has a vivid memory from over 30 years ago. He shared that old cars used to operate differently than the vehicles we have today. Back in the day, over 50 years ago, carburetors had to be adjusted before driving uphill or at a high altitude. For example, your carburetor would have to be adjusted if you were going to drive up a mountain.

We drive our modern, automatic cars through almost any terrain without a second thought. Drivers had to be much more mindful of their vehicle’s capabilities back then. The problem was so common that gas stations would often adjust carburetors if they were located close to high-altitude mountains. We don’t want to know what would happen if someone forgot to adjust their carburetor. Yikes.
