#21: The Living Room Stereo System

If you wanted to be somebody in the 90s, you needed a top-of-the-line stereo system. You know what we’re talking about. We’re talking about those oversized black speakers that were taller than a 2nd grader and a giant, blocky console to control the music. If you had a setup like that in your living room, you were basically royalty.

If you had a surround sound stereo system set up in the living room or rec room? Forget about it. You were untouchable. A hero among kings. Maybe we should bring these elaborate stereo systems back. After all, most of us watch Netflix with subtitles nowadays. It must be because we can’t hear anything through those tiny speakers.
