#12: The Landline
The landline is a dying form of technology. Nowadays, younger people don’t even understand the concept of a landline. Why would they? Everyone is reachable on a cell phone now. However, the landline was a mainstay of the household 30 years ago. Most of us would have been lost without it.

There was nothing like calling your best friend or crush only to have your mom or dad interrupt by picking up the phone on the other receiver. Before cordless phones, there was a 25-foot cord that connected the phone to the receiver. There was nothing quite like stretching that cord to the max so you could go to your room, close the door, and have some privacy to gossip.
