#25: The Life-Long Mission of Dasarth Manjhi
Dasrath Manjhi, a true embodiment of determination and resilience, achieved the extraordinary. Armed with nothing but a hammer, he undertook the Herculean task of carving a road through a colossal 300ft hill. For 22 relentless years, from 1960 to 1982, Manjhi toiled ceaselessly, chipping away at the unforgiving terrain.

His selfless motive was to ensure that the people of his village could reach the local hospital in time, no longer hindered by treacherous distances. Manjhi’s unwavering spirit and unwavering belief in the power of a single individual’s actions remind us that with dedication, even the mightiest obstacles can be overcome.
