Nothing Like TV
Whether it’s Grey’s Anatomy, ER, or House, we’ve all seen the dramatic scenes where doctors frantically perform CPR on a patient and miraculously bring them back to life. But the reality is that CPR is a difficult and often unsuccessful procedure, with success rates varying widely depending on the circumstances.

In some cases, CPR can be lifesaving, especially when it is performed quickly and in response to a sudden cardiac arrest. But in other cases, such as when a patient is already in poor health or has suffered significant trauma, the odds of survival are much lower. So while medical dramas can be entertaining and even educational, it’s important to remember that they are not always an accurate reflection of real-life medicine.
