Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan, was not just a gifted writer – he was also a deeply compassionate person who cared deeply about children’s welfare. So when he learned that the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London was facing financial difficulties, he knew that he had to do something to help.

And so he made the decision to donate the rights to Peter Pan to the hospital so that they could always collect the royalties and use the funds to support their mission of caring for sick and injured children. Today, the Great Ormond Street Hospital still benefits from Barrie’s generosity, and the story of Peter Pan continues to inspire children and adults alike with its message of hope and resilience.
