Concerning Shortfall
With an aging population and an increasing demand for healthcare services, it’s clear that we need more physicians to meet the needs of patients across the country. But with a shortage of medical school graduates and a growing number of physicians nearing retirement age, that may be easier said than done.

So what can we do about it? Well, one solution may be to increase support for medical education and training programs, to encourage more people to pursue careers in medicine. Another may be to explore new models of care delivery, such as telemedicine and team-based care, to make healthcare more efficient and accessible.
