#44: Oldest Sibling Responsibilities

This kid doesn’t know how much of a blessing this Christmas really was for him. He might have missed out on some of the magic of being a child with everything done for you. Yet, he gained a valuable life experience that will give him an advantage when he enters the workforce.

In general, we feel quite positive about pushing kids into extremely labor-intensive, thankless tasks from an early age so that they understand exactly how it feels to be their parents. That’s why I have I always have my five-year-old clean the floors, weed the garden, and take out the trash.
