#20: Not the Happiest Time of Year

Countless loads of internet data are dedicated to the correct way to prepare your holiday turkeys. From basting techniques to injection recipes, supply discussions to seasoning debates. Of course, we can’t forget the most special corner of Turkey TikTok – Turkey mishap videos where everything from the pot to the house is engulfed in flames.

However, to this date, we have never heard of emergency barbecued Turkey. Were it not described to be very VERY dry, I actually would have anticipated good things from this creative cooking technique. Though I’m not quite sure what it means. Is an emergency barbecue a special kind of barbecue? And is it closer to Texas-style or Carolina?
