#6: The King of Wireless Connectivity
There are a lot of things in this world that have really bizarre names, but we don’t really notice it because we are just so used to hearing that name said. For example, when I was a kid, personal cassette tape players were called “Walkmans,” but we just accepted it without thinking too hard.

And then there is Bluetooth, the enormously useful wireless connection standard that allows our phones to talk to our smartwatches and our earphones. Were you aware that it’s named after an old Danish king? And its logo is based on two Norse runes. But we are all so accustomed to hearing about Bluetooth that we don’t really think about how odd a name it is.
