We talked earlier about how I don’t really have a good sense of the real scale of things; maybe you are the same way. Maybe, like me, you’re not really sure you understand exactly how big a billion is. Because when you stop to think about it, it is truly incomprehensible.

Well, if that’s the case for you, you are in luck! Here’s a useful little math problem to illustrate clearly to you just how much a billion dollars is. It turns out it is a huge amount of money, and even if you had been saving this much money every single day since 1776, you still wouldn’t be close.
