#39: Do We Need Unions Anymore?

The billionaire entrepreneur, Elon Musk, threw some serious shade at unions, claiming that they’re about as relevant as a pager in 2023. He argued that unions were only necessary back in the day when people were losing their hands and getting fired left, right, and center. But now, in the age of social media, we can all be our own voice.

Who needs to pay someone making 250k a year to represent them when they can just tweet about it? Sure, Elon has a point, but he seems to be forgetting that not everyone has millions of Twitter followers or the means to amplify their voice on social media.
