Excellent Scents

I’m not sure whether Bath and Body Works became a big thing in the 90s or if it only seemed that way because that was when I became old enough to be aware of it. What I know for sure was that we were all obsessed with scented lotions and shower gels, and no scent inspired more devotion than cucumber melon.

Here’s my deep, dark secret, though: I never really cared for cucumber melon. I never dared to say anything, though, because I knew that I would be going against public opinion if I dared to say that I didn’t get the obsession. Lotion peer pressure: what a weird problem to run into.
