Tell Them What They’ve Won
I used to love to watch game shows as a kid, and now, I have no idea why. They all involved answering trivia I didn’t know or making jokes that went over my head, or guessing the prices of things that I had never bought because I was nine years old.

And the prizes always seemed really lame and boring. I liked the cars and the trips to Hawaii, but winning things like a washing machine or a year’s supply of Rice-A-Roni, the San Francisco treat, didn’t seem that interesting. But now that I’m an adult and have to buy my own washing machines and Rice-A-Roni, I definitely get the appeal.
