Just Breathe

Chick-flicks sometimes get a bad rap. And to be fair, like all genres of movies, there is a wide range of quality; some are good, and some are… not so good. But in 1997, a movie came out that blew all other chick flicks out of the water and has still, to this day, never been topped in terms of sheer awesomeness: Ever After.

Like any self-respecting 12-year-old girl in 1997, I was obsessed with this movie. I had a poster of Danielle in her ball gown up on my wall. And you know what? This is not one of those movies that are only great when you’re a kid because you don’t know any better. I still watch it frequently as an adult, and it is still the best chick flick and the best adaptation of Cinderella that has ever been made.
