Glamor Shots
Getting your photo taken was a very different affair in the 80s and 90s. When your mom decided it was time to get a new family photo taken, you’d head to a photography studio, usually housed in a mall. There were no outdoor family photos back then; they were all taken under artificial lighting in front of a backdrop.

And on your mom’s insistence, you dressed up nice. Maybe that meant you all wore matching full denim outfits. Maybe it meant that you put on your best floral dress and teased your bangs until they were a massive cloud of fluffy hair. Or maybe it meant you put pearls on the toddler. We certainly were glamorous back then.
