Considering how long ago some cities were established, the city planners at the time didn’t always have the foresight to imagine the future needs of the city. So a natural progression of building sort of happened over time allowing for the newer needs of the city…

The old Western Metal Supply Co. building eventually became part of the once named Jack Murphy Stadium, now known as the Qualcomm Stadium. Seeing these two pictures next to one another is almost too difficult to comprehend, but what a great way to refurbish an old building!
