#32: The Arch of Constantine, Rome, Italy – 1943 vs. 2021

There are some very famous landmarks that exist in the world that are hard to imagine 50 or so years ago because we have a very specific view and understanding of how they look today in their surroundings. But that’s when having photographs comes in handy…

By comparing these two photographs we can see how the Arch of Constantine looked all the way back in 1943 when it was surrounded by roads compared to how it looks today, is frequented by tourists, and has since been transformed into a walkway.
