Van Gogh’s 1888 “Cafe Terrace at Night” was painted in Arles, France at a real cafe! Can you imagine just sitting there in 1888, drinking an espresso, and Vincent Van Gogh is painting a picture that will one day be incredibly well known? It is wonderful to see how even the colors are similar to his original painting, all these years later.
