#13: Milan, Italy – 1950s vs. 2021

Do you ever just sit and wonder how these grand, wonderful churches, cathedrals, and buildings were all constructed in a time when building materials were not only more scarce but also far less efficient than they are today? And let’s not get started on the attention to detail…

There are so many differences between these two images taken almost 70 years apart! Firstly, the surrounding buildings are all the same, but this multilane road is no longer a motorway and is now similar to a square where people walk around. That must have been quite the undertaking for the city of Milan.
