Like Mother Like Daughter

They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and that seems to be the case here. This newborn baby was born with the exact same birthmark as her mother – a white path of hair. The two have a condition called piebaldism, which describes an absence of melanin-forming cells in certain areas of the skin and hair. 

In this case, the result was a single patch of pure white hair. Apparently, this condition is highly heritable, so it’s not uncommon for children to have the exact same condition as their parents. Still, it’s pretty incredible to see. We all share different characteristics with our parents, some more obvious than others, but this is pretty unique.
