#59: Dating Younger Guys

Just like every pot has a lid, every Barbie needs her Ken. That’s why two years after the first Barbie doll was released, Mattel introduced her partner, the now-iconic Ken doll. Much like Barbie, Ken has developed with the years and has had different versions that fit the different decades.

We wouldn’t say Barbie was a cougar, though- two years is not much of an age difference! In 2021, Mattel released an all-inclusive and diverse line of Barbie dolls, with Barbies in all colors and sizes to represent the different groups in our society, including LGBT+ friendly dolls.
