This isn’t just an interesting fact- it’s possibly life-saving knowledge! If you live in an area prone to lightning storms, it’s good to know that lightning can travel through plumbing. So, during a lightning storm, it’s best to avoid using water, especially taking a shower.

And don’t even consider going out for a swim! It’s best to avoid any contact with water whatsoever. It’s also best to avoid using electrical equipment and corded phones (if anyone still has those in their home!). Tell this to all your friends and family who live in an area prone to lightning storms.
