#24: The Sunshine State

Florida is a crazy place, isn’t it? On the one hand, it’s an incredibly sunny place- and that’s where it’s gotten its official nickname “The Sunshine State”. On the other hand, it’s one of the rainiest states in the country! It also holds the title of the Lightning Capital of the U.S., when it comes to the number of lightning strikes per square mile.

So, you could say the weather in Florida is pretty crazy. It doesn’t mean it’s not worth a visit, though- just be advised to check the weather before you go! In the warm, sunny season, Florida has a lot to offer, from sandy beaches to the famous Walt Disney World amusement park.
