#23: Revolutionizing Leather

While wearing leather has always been considered fashionable, a lot of people refuse to be a part of this industry that harm helpless animals and so refuse to wear real leather. There are a lot of fabrics and materials out there similar to leather, but nothing that looks and feels quite like the real thing.

These two entrepreneurs from Mexico created organic “leather” made from cactus leaves, that can potentially save billions of animals killed for and by the fashion industry. Their cruelty-free leather is called “Desserto” and not only is it not harmful to animals, it’s also not harmful to our environment.
