#10: Democracy Always Wins

There are certain things in life to which we, as Americans, have become accustomed. One of those things is living freely in a democratic society. But whilst there are many great things about living in a democracy, you want to make sure you’re always on the right side of it.

Because, for some of these unlucky people in Ancient Greece, the idea of a democracy wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Can you imagine being able to get rid of someone in your community for 10 years in a democratic way? As long as you weren’t the one having to leave, this idea sounds pretty good to me.
