Lamar Jackson

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is at the top of his game. He was signed to the NFL as a first-round pick in the 2018 draft, and he’s been killing it ever since. Considering the adversity Jackson faced as a kid growing up in Florida, his success is well-deserved. He and his family didn’t have it easy.

Tragically, Jackson’s father passed away from a heart attack when he was just eight years old. Jackson’s mother, Felicia Jones, then had to raise him and his siblings as a single mom, which was incredibly difficult. He’s incredibly thankful for everything his mom did for him, and they’re still incredibly close. In fact, she’s his manager! We love it when football players are close to their families.
