Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson was a star football player way before he joined the NFL. While in college at the University of Oklahoma, Peterson became the first freshman ever to qualify as a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. Growing up, Peterson had to overcome quite a bit to get to where he is now.

When Peterson was only thirteen, his dad was arrested for a money laundering scheme. Every teenage boy wants their father’s approval and guidance in some way, so it can’t have been easy for Peterson to experience this type of loss and trauma. Nevertheless, he overcame the obstacles in his early life and is now considered one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.
