Ray Lewis
A former linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis is worth millions today. His successful career earned him the “NFL Defensive Player of the Year” title and a few Super Bowl wins until he retired in 2012. Before he shot to fame on the field, Lewis had to take on serious responsibilities at a very young age.

Lewis’s mother was only sixteen when she had him, and his father wasn’t in the picture. As a result, Lewis spent much of his childhood and teenage years acting as the man of the house. He was the eldest of five kids, so he made sure his younger siblings got to school, looked presentable, and were taken care of while their mom was at work. He eventually ditched his biological father’s last name and adopted his mother’s boyfriend’s surname, Lewis.
