#6: Children on Their Way to School, Outskirts of Modena, Italy, 19i59
We all remember the good old days when we went to school by zip-line! Oh, you don’t remember? Surely, you also did this. It was commonplace everywhere in the world until very recently, so if for some reason you didn’t do it, you must have had a very odd childhood.

Jokes aside, this picture from 1950s Italy is really one to make you marvel at the ingenuity and resilience needed in various periods of human history to solve regular day-to-day dilemmas like how to get a bunch of children to school. Luckily, we now have small yellow buses.
