#41: Men Protesting the Prohibition, 1932
It’s pretty wild these days to think that once upon a time (and not very long ago at all), alcohol was illegal in this country. Of course, history has seen humans interacting with alcohol in all kinds of ways – when drinking water wasn’t readily available, alcohol was drunk all day, every day.

All the more reason why it’s inconceivable that it was entirely banned. The idea of a pint after work, a glass of wine on the weekend, or a little whiskey nightcap is so integral to our culture that it seems downright strange that a mere one hundred years ago, these were all outlawed.
