While this photo has an old-timer feel, I think the only thing particularly anachronistic about it is the aesthetic, as many people live in trailer parks across the country today. I suppose the unique thing here is the particular kind of trailer home they inhabit.

This 1940s family lives in a Farm Security Administration housing project, part of FDR’s New Deal. The stark contrast of the homely 1940s design with the sparseness of the trailer home really creates an image of the profound time this man, woman, and child lived in.
