#10: IBM’s Megabyte Hard Drive, 1956
Picture a hard drive. You probably pictured one of two things – either a little chip-like device with wires and fixtures poking out or else a small box with a USB cable attached. You probably didn’t picture this unless you saw exactly where I was going here and just figured it out.

So yes, if the IBM logo on the side of the case didn’t give it away, this is a hard drive with a memory of 9 megabytes. Looking at this particular wonder of the ancient world really makes me want to thank God that our technologies have advanced (and shrunk).
