#8: I Am Legend

I Am Legend was a 2007 film starring Will Smith about a dystopian society where most of the population was wiped out. Most of this movie was filmed on location on the streets of New York City, and not, thankfully, on a soundstage with fake buildings and a green screen.

That’s not to say that there weren’t CGI elements involved. It is a sci-fi film, after all. For example, the dog attack scene was startlingly realistic. Thankfully, it didn’t involve any actual dogs. Instead, an actor wore a green morph suit – which acts like a green screen – and attacked Will Smith with a fake dog head. We bet they felt pretty silly.
