#29: Tron
This movie takes place inside a computer program, so building a set for Tron would have been quite challenging. So, instead, the filmmakers relied on CGI to help them create their computer world. The original version of this film was made in 1982 and was one of the first movies to use CGI as extensively as it does.

Tron was more than a cult film. It was heavily influential in the future use of using computer graphics to create movies. John Lasseter, the driving force behind Pixar, admitted that without Tron, there would never have been Toy Story – because it convinced him that CGI was the future of film. So, thank you, Tron!
