#20: The Matrix, Part II
We can’t stop thinking about The Matrix. This film was immensely influential, and Hollywood was never the same after its release. It’s easy to see why. Up until then, most physical manipulation was created by the actor or stunt person. Anything that tried to use special effects simply didn’t look believable.

This iconic scene involving Neo and Agent Smith in a shoot-out wasn’t filmed using clever camera tricks like stop motion or pausing the image. Instead, the actors were suspended from wires in front of a green screen. Then, the filmmaker placed them inside an abandoned warehouse and erased the cables in post-production.
