There is nothing quite as wonderful as spending your summer days by the pool, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing. As fun as these pool days are, they are often characterized by one thing… How red everyone’s eyes get after spending the entire day swimming in the swimming pool.

All this time, we thought it was our eyes interacting with the chlorine in the pool, but it turns out it is actually the reaction to chlorine mixing with people’s urine. We know, just let that sink in for a little bit… Whether it is the chlorine itself or the chlorine interacting with something else, we suggest you wear goggles in the pool.
