#19: Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend

When it comes to the royal family, there is no denying that they are big fans of fine jewels. It is believed that the late Queen Elizabeth owned around 50 tiaras and crowns, which isn’t too shabby. Most of these crowns were dawned with enough diamonds and jewels to impress anyone, but there was one in particular that caught the attention of millions.

The royal family’s crown, The Sovereign’s Scepter With Cross, used for coronations and other historically important events, has the world’s biggest diamond set within it. Whilst it is a beautiful diamond, many people believe that it was taken as opposed to gifted by the colony of the Transvaal Republic in 1907.
