#35: Fear the Flooding
Florida is surrounded by ocean on three sides and mostly doesn’t venture much above sea level; the highest natural point in the entire state is only 345 feet above sea level. There are good things about this, such as warm weather and lush vegetation.

But there are downsides, too, such as the fact that if ocean levels continue to rise, parts of the state, or all of the state, could be underwater. That could be distressing for the rest of us, who might not be ready to have Florida Man living next door, but it’s also distressing for Floridians who probably don’t want to live with us either.
