Even someone as undeniably beautiful as Eva Mendes has faced her own share of insecurities. Surprisingly, it was that tiny mole on her face that made her the target of bullying during her formative years. But, like a true warrior, the actress found a way to rise above it all.

Continuing about her junior high days, Mendes said, “In junior high, the other kids would say, ‘You’ve got some chocolate on your face,’ and I fell for it every time.” She even made a vow to have the mole removed once she turned 18. But here’s the twist: “But I’m happy I didn’t,” she adds, and so are we! Let this be a celebration of embracing our unique features.
