California
Often dubbed the Golden State, California is renowned for many things. It’s most famously associated with its beaches, the entertainment industry in Hollywood, and technological innovation in Silicon Valley. However, it also carries its share of stereotypes. Some perceive Californians as health-conscious and eco-friendly individuals who practice yoga and drink green smoothies, while others might see them as laid-back surfers with a penchant for saying “dude.”

From an outsider’s perspective, Californians are often viewed as trendsetters and innovators, setting the tone for popular culture and social movements (or that’s how they see themselves). Their state’s vast size and diverse population contribute to a variety of stereotypes, but Californians are ultimately seen as forward-thinking, open-minded, and always on the cutting edge of the latest trends.
